Praise the Brewery, Out With Project Peet | James Pat Guerréro

Ernest and Curtis Sittenfeld, brothers in Naples, Florida, want to open up a $40 million brewery in Ave Maria, Florida. Great news! This business idea has been formally accepted by Barron Collier Cos. The Sittenfelds want to offer at least 60 jobs at $18.00 per hour. Very soon the annual payroll could be $2,246,400. Notice how this idea is practicable in that it’s private, doable, fundable (without taxpayers’ funding), and welcomed (unless someone finds something immoral about it – likely not as there’s plenty of drinkers in Ave Maria – just kidding). Praise to the brewery, and out with Project Peet (Jackson Laboratory project). Most probably, the only problem will be the Collier County government in terms of ordinance intervention, permitting, impact fees, corrupt politics, cronyism, taxes, and over-regulation. Fred Coyle, Jim Coletta, and Donna Fiala will trap this inspiring business idea as the same idea has already been trapped by the Airport Authority in Immokalee Airport. Some government officials, including some Republicans, think that if it’s not their idea to enlarge the economic community, then it’s no one’s idea. A real problem. Good luck, Sittenfeld brothers!
