In 2009 James Pat Guerréro applied for his first political appointment for the Collier County School Board in Collier County, Florida, for a member seat vacated by Richard Calabrese. James Pat Guerréro was qualified and selected as one of the six finalist candidates interviewed by then Governor Charlie Crist.
In 2010 James Pat Guerréro ran his second political campaign and applied for election candidacy in the United States Congressional District 25 of Florida, of which campaigning became cost prohibitive. In the same year, he ran a third political campaign and qualified for election candidacy in the Florida House of Representatives District 112 and acquired 15% of the vote across a three county district: Collier, Broward, and Dade counties. He aspires to study law and write outstanding political insight into the United States Congress.
