Thanks Democrat Rep. Zoe Lofgren (D-CA19)!
My congressional district Representative Rob Wittman (R-VA1) voted “NO” on agreeing to the Amendment to H.R. 4870, the Thomas Massie (R-KY4) of Kentucky Amendment. Rep. Wittman does not agree with limiting NSA surveillance of American records. This goes against the U.S. Constitution Amendment IV (Fourth), against unreasonable searches and seizures.
Rep. Wittman is less conservative on this issue, even less than Democrat Rep. Zoe Lofgren (D-CA19) who is one of the members sponsoring the amendment and championing surveillance reform.
