Vehicle Collision: Naples couple, unborn child die | James Pat Guerréro


Near Miami Lakes, just north of Northwest 138th Avenue southbound on I-75, Nadia Tomasi (37), her unborn child, and her husband, Amauris Carralero (38) died in a serious vehicle collision on Friday morning at 5:00 A.M.. The couple lived in Naples, Florida, and they were on their way early Friday morning to the Miami International Airport to board a flight to Cuba to meet Carralero’ s extended family. Tomasi’s brother was driving them in a Nissan Versa, and he was reported in critical condition on Saturday morning.

The cause of the accident was a Honda Accord that was moving in the same southbound lane in the opposite direction. It hit the Nissan Versa head-on according to the Florida Highway Patrol.

Carralero worked for Donna’s Silver Dollar as a chef and bouncer in Naples. Tomasi and Carralero were married for six years and resided on Radio Road in Naples. They are survived by their two sons: Sebastian (15) and Humberto (16) who attend Naples High School.
