It’s not news that The New York Times’ outspoken liberal columnist Paul Krugman is calling conservatives "crazy." What’s news is that he believes the media is giving too much air time to conservative views, aiding and abetting what he describes as "the cult that is destroying America."
According to Krugman, refusing to raise taxes on small businesses, family farmers and other job creators is "insane":
"We have a crisis in which the right is making insane demands, while the president and Democrats in Congress are bending over backward to be accommodating — offering plans that are all spending cuts and no taxes, plans that are far to the right of public opinion."
Learn more: fiscal conservatism is what our country needs right now.
Mr. Krugman, who thinks President Obama is a "moderate conservative," believes it is a "moral failure" to report dissenting opinions. It would be a moral failure to not point out the truth, which is that the past two and a half years have racked up more debt and more spending than previously imaginable.
It would be a moral failure to allow the current situation to go by without seriously changing how Washington spends your money, and your children’s money.
