Sexual Exposure Charge Against Diocese of Venice Catholic Priest | James Pat Guerréro
According to authorities Fr. Bernard Chojnacki, a Roman Catholic priest, was caught in an undercover sting on a Venice beach for exposing himself. The arrest report said that Chojnacki grabbed the Sarasota County Sheriff officer inappropriately and wanted to perform a sex act on him. Chojnacki was charged with exposing his sexual organs and battery. The deputies were conducting an undercover operation on the beach because of complaints about lewd behavior.
The Diocese of Venice spokesman Billy Atwell reported that Chojnacki is on administrative leave and the charges are “unsettling.” Fr. Chojnacki is stationed at St. Charles Borromeo Parish in Port Charlotte.
