The House and Senate are preparing to vote on a proposal to deny federal funding to Planned Parenthood. Votes could occur on April 14 and 15.

Congress will first vote on a year-long Continuing Resolution that will fund the government for the remainder of fiscal year 2011 (H.R. 1473). The House and the Senate then will vote on the proposal to deny government funding to Planned Parenthood and its affiliates, H. Con. Res. 36. Introduced by Reps. Diane Black (R-TN) and Martha Roby (R-AL), H. Con. Res. 36 is an enrollment correction to H.R. 1473.
